Blue
Blue is, perhaps, the calmest color. It’s the color of a placid lake; it’s a mood; it conjures pacific thoughts. Even the moon can be blue Movies can be blue. And blood can also be blue. It can be regal, as in “royal blue.” Or even state-specific as in Carolina Blue. “Blue states” even exist.
It is also one of the rarest colors in nature. Animals and plants largely are incapable of producing blue skin or feathers (with very few exceptions). Birds and plants know how to imitate it well. What is perceived as “blue” is often a very clever trick of optics.
